4 Signal Squadron on exercise (4)

Caption: Laying Down The Line .... 200 miles of telephone line had to be laid down to maintain constant communications between troops. Responsible for the task were personnel of the 4 Signal Squadron, part of Canada's NATO Brigade in Germany, have been constantly practicing and improving their methods during recent training at Soltau in Northern Germany. Seen at work are Signalman Harold Smith, left, and LCpl. David Weir.
