No. 1 Airborne Signal Squadron
Active 16 May 1953 – 31 August 1958

No. 1 Airborne Signal Squadron was authorized effective 16 May 1953 when The Active Force Brigade Group Signal Squadron was redesignated.[1]

In 1958 the unit was disbanded effective 31 August 1958. In its place, three independent troops were created to fulfill the airborne support role.[2][3]
