734 (Saskatoon) Dependent Troop was first created as a dependent troop of 734 (Regina) Communication Squadron.[1] In 1978, it was made an independent troop and redesignated 737 (Saskatoon) Communication Troop.[2]

In 1994 the troop was reorganized as 737 (Saskatoon) Communication Squadron [737e Escadron des Communications (Saskatoon)] and organized as a CF unit in the Reserve Force allocated to 73 Communication Group.[3]
