7 Communication Group Headquarters was authorized to be formed as a unit of the Canadian Armed Forces by Ministerial Order signed on 11 April 2016[1] and Canadian Forces Organization Order dated 23 September 2016.[2] The authorization was concurrent with the disbandment of 76 Communication Group Headquarters.
