The Canadian Forces School of Communication and Land Ordnance Engineering was redesignated Canadian Forces School of Communications and Electronics Engineering (CFSCEE) when the Electrical and Mechanical Engineer portion of the School split off and relocated to CFB Borden.[1]

In 1986 the unit was redesignated Canadian Forces School of Communications and Electronics (CFSCE) [École de l’électronique et des Communications des Forces canadiennes].[2]
