4 Signal Squadron on exercise (7)

Caption: The ingenuity of the Canadian soldier is renowned and more so during the training exercises at Soltau, Germany, where the 4th Signal Squadron, Royal Canadian Corps of Signals, are undergoing three weeks of manoeuvres. Signalman Norman Flummerton has one of the busiest jobs in the signals unit. Signalman Flummerton acts as switchboard operator for the main headquarters of the brigade placing as many as six-hundred calls during a day's work.
