Major K. Henninger (centre), a German Army signals officer, speaking on a telephone linkup between Canadian and German forces, Wageningen, Netherlands, 5 May 1945. At right is Corporal John Osborn (B88372) of No. 1 Line Section, 1st Canadian Corps Signals, who made the joint in the cables. The Canadian phone used in the linkup is a Telephone Set L.
